Better believe it everyone. We can get back on our feet come Thursday.

Skins @ Giants. Love it.

So what does everyone think this year? -Okay other than the Patriots…

The trusty SI Zine. Patriots > Eagles. Reeeeeaally!?
Yea I’m going to pass on that. Tough task giving the Eagles a 12-4 record over Cowboys 10-6, very bold.
ESPN hasn’t given much insight on predictions except Fantasy Football.
However, Mike and Mike give a decent outlook.
I agree with them in almost every spot.
I liked Lombardi‘s personal blog a little more than this, but this is his site and has more stuff. Lombardi’s blog is right to the point though, check it out.

I’ll make some predictions, let’s call them bold, even though some may not be.

1. The Seahawks will not win the NFC West, hmm?
2. The Patriots and Chargers add two more games to their schedule so they have the same level of competition as the Steelers/Colts do. -But seriously
3. The Patriots do NOT win the Superbowl.
4. The Saints go back to ’06 and play like Saints.
5. The Giants miss the playoffs, hate to see it.
6. Neither Tomlinson/Peterson will lead the league in rushing.
7. The Colts will win every game.

Haha okay- Take away my bias.
Chargers > Colts            Cowboys > Saints
Chargers > Cowboys

I forgot to mention the Jaguars, they will be good.
The Seahawks won’t be good.
The Panthers and Saints both make the playoffs? -if they stay healthy
Aaron Rodgers keeps the Packers on the map. Tarvaris Jackson keeps the Vikings off.
The Redskins will be better than…
The Broncos wonder where their running game went.
The Titans will not win games in which they play bad and make the playoffs because of it.
Trent Edwards is better than Brett Favre.
Oh yea, the Lions – They are better, but the playoffs, not yet my friends. The Packers and Vikings will be too much for them this year.

Anyways, Enjoy.

Even after the summer of Favre. He was everywhere, everyday on the media. Bashing his former team after retiring. Telling everyone he was the man, and the Packers needed to realize that.
Now he is a team player on the Jets.
Big surprise buddy.

Unfortunately, everyone in the media believes Favre will turn the Jets into a playoff team. Really? Just like that. I mean, it is not like the AFC already has a plethora of quality teams. This is not the NFC where teams with 9-7 records win divisions. No, no, no!

Even my favorite ESPN analyst Mark Schlereth believes it. Such a shame…

So, why don’t I think it can happen?

Well, they did have a lot of close games last year, even with 12 losses. They did pick up two quality guards. They do have a better QB. And I just remembered they still have Tony Richardson. Quality.
Their offense is not that bad. Favre, Coles, Cotchery, Jones, Washington.
Their defense is less than average. But can they click, can they put everything together?
I believe at most they can get 8 wins. I would say 6 wins plus/minus 2.
Remember two teams fought for wild card spots with 10-6 records last year. Their schedule is pretty simple though.
Let’s say. Miami is two free wins. SF, STL, OAK, KC are all wins. They go 1 and 1 with Buffalo. Arizona and Cincy are possibilities. That is 9 wins. Still not enough for a wild card.
And still that is going off last years teams. All of these teams have improved (maybe not the Dolphins as much, but if Pennington plays he will win), not just the Jets. So they win half of those, that is 5.
This is all rough estimating. Favre isn’t running the same type of offense. The defense is not as good as GB’s was. Favre is a gunslinger!
I could explain more, but there is no point. It’s simple.

The Jets will not reach the playoffs, I’m sorry…everyone.

Dead End

Hooray Patriots!
It doesn’t mean anything yet…

Last week of the season, few games have meaning.
I see the Browns getting in, as the Titans lose to the Colts.
Also Todd Collins leading the Redskins into the playoffs. 10 years between his starts, very nice.
Other than that it is all about seeding. I’m not sure why the Steelers are resting Big Ben, but if they don’t care to play either the Browns/Jaguars then I understand. However, the Jags are a much bigger threat. They are playing the Ravens though…
Chargers vs Browns / Steelers vs Jaguars
I would like to see the Jags play the Pats, they have a good chance of beating either team they play, more of a chance vs the Chargers though.

Giants vs Bucs
Redskins vs Seahawks

I like the Giants, but I don’t think they have a chance against the Cowboys, I’ll leave that to another team.

Well I don’t want to get ahead of myself in the Playoffs. Good luck.

Well thanks a lot ESPN Experts for picking numerous upsets this week, really quite impressive.
Just kidding, you guys are great.

After what no one had thought possible, happened Thursday night. In the 15th week of the NFL season, the Texans made the AFC South a division with no sub-.500 teams. Many of you probably did not notice this, but it was an impressive win by the Texans taking out a decent team  in the Broncos. Mario Williams showed his worth, that is all that needs to be said.

So after last week with one real upset (HOU),technically 2 (NYG), what can we expect this week. It looks much of the same actually.

Instead of listing all my picks, I will just let my potential upset teams (all have potential, just with more potential)

Jacksonville has proved to be a good team this year, and Pittsburgh has been very shaken at times. However, I still pick PIT
Could this be Miami’s first win? Possibility with the weak Ravens. Will Troy play though, that may be a deciding factor in the outcome. Maybe Joey Porter will get in a fight with Ray Lewis? Pretty good matchup…maybe
Arizona, obviously is a possible upset. Both of these teams play the same. Heavy offense, weaker defenses. I like the Cards to this though, the Saints are home though.
Buffalo, I am just saying them because of the significance of this game. Otherwise, the Bills have not beaten anyone worthy of mentioning yet.
Also…Chiefs because Vince Young is nothing short of terrible.
Lions, I think they need a win.
Redskins somewhat, because Jason Campbell is better than what everyone thinks.
Bears because it is a divisional game and on Monday Night.

So check out those games. Best bets for a good game. I guess the Patriots/Jets because the Jets are going rock the Pats.

Let’s make it quick.
I haven’t researched much this week, so don’t take these for granted.

And good job to Collins for that win over the Bears.

I like: Bungles, Chargers, Bucs, Packers, Jags, Vikes, Brownies, Broncs, Saints

And the rest…(upsets shall we say)
Hey, why not? I’ll take the Lions, didn’t see that one coming…
One of the bigger games of the week goes to the Giants, Eagles have been playing better as of late, but I expect the Giants DE to pick up the pace towards end of the year now.
Another take for the Dolphins first win of the year, gotta love Beck.
Yes, the Cardinals are money.
Oh I don’t guarantee this one, but the Steelers, mainly because I hate the Pats…
Of course, the Colts, in which everyone is saying it is harder than the Ravens record. Boller is better than McNair, yes, we’ll see what their defense can do though.

Gotta Love It.
Exam week is here ya’ll!

NFL Stuff

Whoops! Too busy for an update last week…
Not much happened to tell the truth.
The Colts beats the Jaguars again, of course. The Lions are worthless right now.
It looks like the Chargers are the only team standing out in that wretched division.
Nothing else worth noting, except the Cardinals/Vikings are looking good. The Titans/Browns are fighting for a spot.

Also, I am contemplating dropping D Driver for Roddy White in one of my fantasy leagues, never saw that coming, or I guess you could have.

How about a top 10?
1. Patriots, ehh
2. Colts, yes they are better than the NFC
3. Cowboys, with the win over the Packmen this is evident
4. Packers, played really well without Rodgers
5. Steelers, they need to pick it up if they want to compete for the AFC though
6. Jaguars, even though I don’t like them, they have beaten their competition in the AFC
7. Chargers, only because the Bucs/Chawks haven’t faced anyone real
8/9. Bucs/Seahawks, I like the Bucs to finish with a better record though.
10. Browns, YES I love it, they have a better of chance than the Titans to make the playoffs
11. Giants, these guys need to pick it up, they played a little better against the Bears, but not as good as they can
12. Cardinals, I believe they can get one more win than the Vikes to get into the final playoff position

Tonights game is a rough one to start off the week.
Neither team is playing all that well. But I am giving it to the Bears because of Lovie and because the Skins let go of that lead to the Bills last week.
BUT Jason Campbell has the ability to win this game, don’t put it past him, he has improved a lot. We just have to wait and see what good ole Rex can do.

I’ll be back for the week 14 full installment.

Here we go!
Let’s start with the Lions, yes. Love those guys. I was at the game Thursday, and I will at admit, before the game I thought the Lions were better team than that and had a pretty good chance of pulling an upset.
Ah, little did I know their defensive backs are actually worse than I thought they were. Please at least stay on your feet. One on one coverage they fell at least 3 teams…not good guys. But, the Packers did prove themselves, I give them that.
The Boys and the Horses took their games pretty handily. The Colts were looking rather rough if the first quarter. But, P. Manning would not allow that to open. Anthony Gonzo decides to show up and earn himself top yardage/catches. Very nice.

And back to week 11.
The Jags continue to impress.
Patriots please, no one likes you, and I hate to say it: You will not win the Superbowl, the SB is not going to let jerks like you to win. I’m sorry, I mean I definitely see the need to go for 4th downs when you are up by 30/40 points!! Of course, Tom Brady “I NEED RECORDS, I NEED TO OVERPOWER PEYTON’S RECORDS!” He is saying something like that. Finally, Maroney the baloney gets his first touchdown last week! So proud of him, I mean Brady is probably still pissed about it, oh well I guess.
Okay, sorry about that.
Like I said before, the Saints: not good.
Browns, you better believe it, even though they barely got by. Giving up 30 points to the Ravens might be considered a loss in itself.
Woooah, J E T S, that was something over the Steelheads, and it was also something not being able to score against the Boys, ehh.
Steelers better pick it up, we all need them to beat the Patriots.
After a few losses, the Bucs are alive again, be on the lookout.
Cardinals are looking to make a run. Good job bengals, your defense continues to impress.
Two straight for the Rams…yay…
Good job Seahawks, but lookout for the Cards!
After the Lions game, it looks like the Broncos have something to say, I know the Titans have not been playing well, but the AFC West is looking pretty tough with a bunch of mediocre teams.

Oh Reggie! Nice grab, nice grab.

Throw in some action for the reader there. Yay!

Now: Week 12.

A pretty gruesome week. I mean really, 24 point favorites for the Patriots…no comment.
Even though the 49ers are 10 point underdogs, they still beat the Cards in the first game of the year.
Giants should be able to handle the Vikings well, I mean they can’t pass, but we knew that 10 weeks ago, and so did everyone else. Time for Elisha to get back on track (or however you spell his name).
The Jaguars are just powerful, and the Bills and just embarrassed by last weeks loss at HOME.
It almost looks like Bears/Broncos is the best game. Sort of funny…
I like the Broncos, but each of these teams are unpredictable. Cutler>Grossman, so that is my decision.
Ohhh, I pick the Bengals wayyy too much. I say that every week.
I don’t know though, whenever Vinsanity throws for over 250 yards, they tend to lose (ex. last 2 weeks). He will reach 250 against the BUNGles. So that means the Bengals will win, even though they are not good at all.
Herm Edwards will take out the Raiders single-handedly.
Browns/Texans: expect points, but also expect Browns. Home field, and the Texans just don’t like cold weather.
Julius will handle Brees/Bush and the Panthers will win. The Saints are still favorites…
Edit: David Carr is starting, I will change my pick and sadly go with the Saints.

Good game: Bucs vs. Skins
I don’t think Campbell has enough to take on the Bucs defense, but the Skins defense may be too much for Jeff. However, the Bucs will sneak by, with the pirates.
Love the Cardinals. Hate the Chargers, but, the Ravens are worthless.
Eagles> Patriots, yea I said it. AJ Feeley is the quarterback? Who knows. Yea I’m just kidding, stupid Patriots.
Look out for the Eagles defense to return 2 INTs for TDs for Tom Brady (just adding to his record).
Steelers seriously, prove yourselves. The Dolphins and Beck/Williams, really good offense. If this is a close game…Good night Steelers.

How ’bout that? Patriots are going to lose, take my word for it!
Of course I am saying that because I hate them, but last game of the year against the Giants (if no one else can beat them). The G-Men will be fighting for a playoff spot (possibly), that means yes ELI>TOM ! Yes yes yes! He will redeem his brother!
