Good calls overall again. I didn’t understand the Oakland pick (although it did seem to be trendy) as I think they (and TB) are just THAT bad. Hard to believe the Colts were an “upset” pick … that was easy $$.

It could be just skill. But Scifres only averages 1 more yard a punt than Smith in the regular season. Smith just has his worst game of the year, I guess while Scirfres his best.

I think perhaps the defensive holding was questionable, but the other two calls on that last drive were well called for. The Colts can only blame themselves for those two.

I thought the Colts were going to take the game despite their low scoring attempts. Rivers was tossing the ball away several times a series. The Chargers didn’t win as much as the Colts loss.

However, I do not think luck was much a factor in the punting game. That is a huge average difference between Scifres and Smith. Scifres is just a Beast punter. Skill there, luck perhaps elsewhere (that Rivers didn’t fumble on his sacks).

Ahhhhh…the long awaited, much anticipated NFL season is nearly upon us. I CAN”T WAIT!! And as a long-time Skins fan, I’m happy to see that you haven’t totally written them off this season. I too am wondering whether or not they’ll show up tonight. Should be interesting!

You are right. Everyone is bashing the Pistons for their “turning it on when it matters”-mentality, but if the people would watch the games instead of saying what they heard the last two years, they would see that it’s not true anymore. The Pistons played hard all year (in part because of the “Zoo Crew”) and the game vs the 76ers was an…anomaly. This won’t happen again and there is no doubt in my mind that the Pistons will destroy the Sixers in the next four games.
